Our working principle is that data we never collect cannot leak. The site is therefore built to run on as little data as possible.
What we do not collect
- No accounts: there is no login, no newsletter form and no comment section, so we store no name, email address or password.
- No cookies set by us: the site places no tracking or advertising cookies.
- No data sales: no personal data is sold or shared with marketers.
We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics (page views and approximate country) to see which pages help readers. Those figures do not identify you and are not used to build a profile of you.
Displayed prices and CoinGecko
The price ticker and the SAR-to-crypto converters fetch rates from the public CoinGecko API. The request goes directly from your browser to CoinGecko's servers, so CoinGecko sees your IP address in the same way any website you visit does, and its own privacy policy applies to that request. We pass no data about you in it.
To reduce the number of requests, your browser keeps a copy of the rates in session storage (sessionStorage) for roughly ten minutes. That cache is cleared automatically when you close the tab, contains only the rates themselves and is never sent to us.
External links
We link to exchanges, regulators and other sources. The moment you click an external link you are on a site with its own privacy policy and terms, and we do not control what it collects. Read each platform's policy before you register or upload identity documents, especially when going through KYC with an Iqama.
Your email
If you write to contact@crypto-saudiarabia.com, we keep your message and address for as long as we need to reply and follow up on a correction, then delete them. We never add your address to a mailing list. Never send us passwords, seed phrases, card images or identity documents.
Saudi Personal Data Protection Law
We follow the spirit of the Kingdom's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL): collect the minimum, for a specific and stated purpose, and keep it no longer than necessary. You may ask what data we hold about you (in practice, your emails to us, if any) and ask for it to be deleted, using the same email address.
Updates and contact
If we add a service that affects your data (a newsletter, for example), we will update this page before it goes live. For questions, use the contact page. See also our terms of use.
